Yating Hu

Dr. Yating Hu was a Ph.D. student at SEiL. She majored in material science and metallurgy for her Master’s and Bachelor’s degree, respectively. Her research interests include experimental & simulated fluid mechanics, interfacial science, and solid physics. Yating is currently focusing on the manipulation of droplet spreading post-impact. Specifically, she works on the spreading control over a moving or inclined surface where a tangential velocity presents. The study’s outcome can lay the foundational knowledge in practical areas such as 3-D printing, ink-jet printing, spraying, and so on.
